What is free
Blinky works as a notification light without paying anything, for as long as you keep it installed. That means a dot in any of the preset colours, placed where you want it, at the size and brightness you choose, either steady or blinking, with all of the rules about when it may light up. Nothing about that expires and nothing is taken away later.
What the unlock adds
One payment adds the ring and edge shapes, the breathe, spectrum and wave effects, a colour for each app, and a colour mixed by hand. It is a single payment rather than a subscription, so there is nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. It belongs to the Google account that bought it and restores itself on a reinstall, or on a new device signed in to that account. Blinky has no accounts of its own and nothing to sign up for.
Refunds
Payment and refunds are handled by Google Play under Google’s terms, not by us. Google’s standard refund window applies, and requests are made through Google Play rather than through Blinky.
What Blinky is, and is not
Android gives no third-party app access to the real always-on display. Blinky wakes the screen itself and draws on an otherwise black one. On an OLED panel the black pixels draw no power, so the result is close to a hardware notification LED. On an LCD the backlight still lights the whole panel, so expect a dim grey screen and more battery use. Waking the screen also costs more power than your phone’s own always-on display.
No guarantee of delivery
Blinky depends on Android delivering notifications to it, and on your phone letting it keep running. Several manufacturers ship background process managers that stop apps like this one. Blinky is provided as is, with no warranty that a given notification will produce a light, and should not be relied on for anything that matters.
Liability
So far as the law allows, Blinky’s publisher is not liable for any loss arising from a notification you did not see, from screen wear or from battery use. Nothing here limits any right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
Changes
These terms may change with a future version of the app. The version you agreed to is the one shipped with the copy you installed, and the current text is always readable here.
